Hi Craig,

EX1 / EX1R and EX3 works fine fine SxS card. Upto 64Gb without problems.
I'm not sure about which HD you speak about, as they should have a SxS slot card to connect...

Hello Everyone!
Is there by chance any scene file/picture profile available for the PMW-500?
Many thanks.

Hello again,

Just read this old post after one year...

So, i confirm that Sony battery works of course, but even the BP-GL95/95A is running for 90 minutes maximum... (much less that the user manual specs)

I finally bought some G...M... Li230S which runs for maybe 4 or 5 hours... Never been up to the end

Take care and have a nice Christmas time everyone.

Patrick

Hi Joop

Thanks a lot! I will contact a repair center for checking/adjusting the white shading.

RBest regards,

This looks like a problem with "white shading".
WS is caused by reflections inside the optical path.
Every camera has this but it can be corrected for.
EX1 has a setting (in the service-menu) and a camera-repairman can align WS-correction for you.

Greetings,

Joop

Hello XDCAM colleagues

Just pointed my EX1 against a white wall in a room. And I recognized a strange problem. The white wall is greenish in the upper part of the picture and redish in the lower part. I have no idea how long it already is like this as it is hard to see in outside shots. Any idea what it can be? Tried all the ND filters and white balance - no change.
Hope I don't have to change a logic board...

Thanks for feedback and regards,

Roland

I would suggest you contact Sony PSE's European HQ in Basingstoke (UK) and see what training courses they are running.
Basingstoke handles all training for Europe.

I perform all XDCAM Training for Australia / NZ.

Regards,
Clive

We decided to have a training about the troubleshooting of XDCAM camcorders. Is there anyone who had this training before and can suggest a good trainer from Sony?

As mentioned, storyboard only works with proxies.
Therefore it can only work with MXF files.
Proxies from HD 422 are identical to proxies from IMX.
So essentially all XDCAM disc cameras (SD & HD)can use the storyboard feature - as they produce MXF files and hence proxies.
Also the PMW-500 can use this feature as it also can produce MXF flies (HD 4:2:2).

Unfortunately this means that the storyboard feature will not work with EX1/3/320/350 MP4 files as they do not produce proxies.

Regards,
Clive
